Pastor Chris Oyakhilome (or Chris Oyakhilome) was born on the 7th of December 1973 and was the son of Tim Oyakhilome as the first child. He was a pupil at the secondary and primary school. He then attended Ambrose Alli University (AAU) in Ekpoma, Edo State of Nigeria in which he earned a BSc. in Architecture.
AAU also awarded him an honorary Doctor of Science award. He also has the recipient of an honorary doctorate from Benson Idahosa University. Reverend Chris was earlier married to Anita Obhodaghe. They have two children.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome entered into ministry while he was still an undergraduate student at AAU. The Believers’ LoveWorld Fellowship (now Believers LoveWorld Incorporated) was at the time known as Youths For Christ.
YFC was quickly growing and soon became the largest college fellowship. In 1989, Pastor Chris established Believers LoveWorld Incorporated (BLW), alongside Christ Embassy.
