This is a four percent increase over the year before and 71,000 visitors from the United States in august 2022. This is 13% higher than in the year 2019.
“It is thrilling to see yet another increase in tourism to Israel from the United States, already reaching the record-breaking levels for the year 2019,” stated Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. “The United States is our number one market for travel to Israel, and before the COVID-19 pandemic that was sweeping the world, we were celebrating record-breaking tourist numbers every month. We’re so happy to see an improvement in the trend and anticipate a steady upswing for the many months and years to be.”
