It was a four percent increase over 2019 seven thousand tourists from America were in Israel during August 2022.
Eyal Carlin is the North American Tourism Commissioner for North America. He said, “It’s so exciting to again see an increasing number of tourists visiting Israel from the United States, and already reaching or surpassing the record-breaking numbers we saw in 2019”. “The United States remains our largest market for Israel-bound tourism. Before the COVID-19 epidemic that was in the news, we had record-breaking tourist entry numbers every month. We are thrilled to witness this change and are expecting an ongoing upward trend for months, and possibly years.
Canada is home to 7,200 tourists in July 2022 and 6,000 in August, isn’t too far behind the United States.
