NEW YORK – September 8 2022new record-breaking tourism arrivals from the United States were announced today by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. The country received 78,000 tourists from the United States in July 2022 which is an increase of 4% from the year before, and 71,000 total travelers from the United States in August 2022, a 13% increase from 2019.
Eyal Carlin is the North American Tourism Commissioner for North America. He stated, “It’s so exciting to again see an increase of tourism to Israel from the United States, and already in the process of surpassing or exceeding our record-breaking numbers for 2019”. “The United States is our top market for inbound tourism to Israel and prior to the outbreak of COVID-19 was announced, we had record-breaking tourist numbers every month. We’re extremely pleased to witness such a positive shift and we anticipate an upward trajectory for many months and years to follow.”

Israel received more tourists from around the world in the year 2019 than any other country. 969 600 of them were American. Israel’s official reopening for all tourists was in May of 2018. The country has already welcomed over 600,400 US travellers since that time.
