NEW YORK – Sept. 8th, 2022/PRNewswirein July and August of 2018 the Israel Ministry of Tourism reported record numbers of tourists arriving from the United States. The country welcomed 78,000 travelers from the United States in July 2022, a 4% increase from the year before and 71,000 total visitors from the United States in August 2022 which is an increase of 13% from the year before.
“It is so thrilling to see yet another increase in tourist numbers to Israel from the United States, already reaching and surpassing our record-breaking numbers in 2019.” stated Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. “The United States has been our largest market for Israel’s tourism inbound. Prior to the outbreak of COVID-19 we had record number of Israeli tourism entries each month.
In line with the United States, Canada is in the process of surpassing its tourist arrivals in Israel, reaching 7,200 visitors in the month of July 2022 and 6,600 in August.
