NEW YORK – September 8 2022new record-breaking tourist arrivals to the United States were announced today by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. Israel welcomed 78,000 total travelers from the United States in July 2022 that’s a 4 percent increase from the year before and 71,000 total visitors from the United States in August 2022 which is an increase of 13% from 2019.
Eyal Carlin is the North American Tourism Commissioner for North America. He said, “It’s so exciting to again see an increase of tourism to Israel from the United States, and already reaching or surpassing our record-breaking numbers for 2019”. “The United States is our most important market for Israel’s inbound tourism. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, we saw record-breaking numbers of Israeli tourists entering Israel every month. We are so happy to see an improvement in the trend, and we anticipate it to continue for a long time.”
Canada is home to 7,200 visitors in July 2022, and 6,000 in August, isn’t too far from the United States.
