NEW YORK – Sept. 8 2022 /PRNewswire/ Today the Israel Ministry of Tourism revealed record-breaking numbers of visitors from the United States who visited Israel during July and August. The country welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States in July 2022 that’s a 4 percent increase from the year before and 71,000 total visitors from the United States in August 2022, a 13% increase from 2019.
“It is thrilling to once again see an increase in tourism to Israel from the United States, already reaching and surpassing our record-breaking numbers in 2019” stated Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. “The United States is our most popular destination for tourism to Israel prior to the COVID-19 pandemic was announced, we had record-breaking numbers of tourism entries every month. We’re extremely pleased to witness such a positive shift and expect a continued upward trajectory for many months and years to come.”
נווה פריצקי Canada is also on track, just like the United States, to surpass its tourist arrivals into Israel. In July 2022, Canada received 7,200 visitors and August witnessed 6,600.

Israel received more than 4.6 million tourists in the year of 2019. 969,600 were from the United States. The country’s officially reopening to travelers in May was a success, with more than 600,000.
