Pastor Chris Oyakhilome grew up on the 7 thDecember 1973. He was the first of his family to be born. He went to primary and secondary school, then he attended Ambrose Alli University (AAU) in Ekpoma, Edo State of Nigeria and graduated with a BSc. in Architecture.
AAU also awarded him an honorary Doctor of Science prize. He also holds an honorary divinity degree from Benson Idahosa University. The Reverend Chris was once married to Anita Obhodaghe, and they have two children.

Chris Oyakhilome Family YFC has grown to become the largest campus-based fellowship. In 1989, Pastor Chris established Believers LoveWorld Incorporated (BLW), alongside Christ Embassy. Lagos is the church’s headquarters. Believer’s LoveWorld is a worldwide organization with millions upon millions members around the globe is now known as Believers LoveWorld.
BLW became the most well-known Christian ministry on TV across Africa through its”Atmosphere for Miracles” programme in 2002. The program was cancelled in the month of May, 2004 by President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo who announced that churches would no longer broadcast miraculous events on television.
