Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was born on the 7 of the 7 of December 1973, to Mr and Mrs Tim Oyakhilome, as the first son of the family. He finished his secondary and primary studies at Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma in Edo State, Nigeria. The university awarded him a BSc.

AAU also gave him an honorary Doctor of Science award. He has also been awarded an honorary doctorate from Benson Idahosa University in divinity. The Reverend Chris was earlier married to Anita Obhodaghe. They have two children.

YFC was able to grow to become the largest campus fellowship. In 1989, Pastor Chris established Believers LoveWorld Incorporated (BLW), alongside Christ Embassy. Lagos is the headquarters of the church. Believer’s LoveWorld is now a global ministry with thousands of members and associates all around the world.

BLW was the most well-known Christian ministry on TV across Africa, through its atmosphere for miracles programme in 2002. The program was canceled in May 2004 when President Olusegun Obasanjo of Nigeria declared that churches must stop broadcasting miracles.

Pastor Chris’s Ministry is comprised of four components: publishing ministry (healing ministry), television ministry (teaching ministry) and healing ministry (publishing ministry).
