A group of Israeli lawyers are urging Australian survivors and their families to join the class action program for insurance companies who’s Holocaust historical antecedents did not fulfill their obligations to pay on insurance policies owned by refugees European Jews.

Shurat Hadin said that US Senate estimates have revealed that $US200B in payments were kept by Jewish policyholders from delinquent WWII insurance firms. This includes a lot of traceable successors in today’s market who have taken on these liabilities.
Shurat HaDin is leveraging its experience in the investigation of financial institutions such as banks harbouring the assets of terrorist groups.
“We have taken legal action against banks, governments and companies that have aiding or abetting terrorist acts. We have the expertise and are not afraid to take on countries, big companies or large international banks” she said.
Shurat HaDin, a Shurat HaDin affiliate, is currently launching legal processes in Israel to unlock an inventory of around 140,000 Holocaust survivors’ and descendants.
