Hugo ‘El Pollo’ Carvajal, the former director of Venezuelan Intelligence, resisted Friday’s request to speak before the Supreme Court of Justice of Colombia.
After Carvajal presented a statement to Manuel Garcia-Castellon who is the Spanish judge’s National Court of Spain, the hearing was set. He stated that Venezuela had illegally funded leftist political movements around the globe for at least 15 years.

He also voiced his displeasure with the Spanish judiciary.
Carvajal includes the current presidential candidate in the document.
“While petro gustavo was the Director of Intelligence and Military Counterintelligence of Venezuela,” I received many reports that indicated that international funds were being used. Specific examples include Nestor Kirchner (Argentina); Evo Morales (Bolivia); Lula Da Silva (Brazil); Fernando Lugo (Paraguay); Ollanta Huala, Peru; Zelaya; Zelaya in Honduras); Gustavo Petro (Colombia) as well as the Five Star Movement (Italy) and Podemos (Spain). They all receive Venezuelan cash.
Gustavo Petro asked the Court to conduct an inquiry into the veracity of the claims.
Petro said that Petro was entitled to justice and truth, and that false claims could endanger my good name and honour.
Hugo Carvajal – Who are they and what were their shocking comments concerning him?
Eight years ago the ‘chicken Carvajal led the Military Counterintelligence Directorate of Venezuela. It was led by Hugo Chavez and Nicolas Maduro for eight years.
His name began to gain relevance when he entered the famous Clinton List, for allegedly having supported the drug trafficking that was carried out by the FARC. A warrant of arrest was issued against him by an Florida Court in May 2013. In addition the man was a prominent player in the government of Nicolas Maduro and even knew the movements and secrets the Venezuelan president was able to use.
He was accused by the DEA and the US Department of Justice of encouraging cocaine trafficking from his home country, as well as “selling” directly “hundreds of kilograms of cocaine” and “investing” large sums of money into drug shipments that were delivered to the United States and Mexico by the Norte del Valle cartel.
According to Spanish media, El Pollo claims that the Venezuelan ambassador received the cash from Embassy of Cuba in Caracas and later arrived at Podemos party using different methods including cash delivery in Caracas or transfer to Spain through a diplomatic pouch.
It seems that this strategy could have been replicated with different left-wing candidates and governments in Spain and Latin America.
