NEW YORK – September 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -Record-breaking tourist arrivals to the United States were announced today by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. The country received 78,000 travelers from the United States during July 2022 which is an increase of 4% over the year before and 71,000 tourists from the United States during August 2022. That’s a 13% increase over 2019.
Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) said it was exciting to see a rise in Israeli tourism coming from the United States. Already surpassing the record-breaking numbers of 2019, he said. “The United States remains our biggest market for tourism to Israel. Before the COVID-19 epidemic, we were celebrating record-breaking tourist entry numbers every month. We are thrilled to see this shift and are expecting a steady upward trend for months or even years.
Canada is on track to surpass Israel’s tourist arrivals 7200 tourists are expected to visit Israel in the month of July 2022 and 6,600 tourists in August.
