NEW YORK, Sept. 8th, 2022 /PRNewswire The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today new record-breaking tourist arrivals from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. Israel welcomed 78,000 American tourists in July 2022. It was a 4 percent increase over the year before seven thousand tourists from America visited Israel in August 2022.
Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) said it was exciting to observe the growth in Israeli tourism from the United States. Already surpassing the record-breaking numbers of 2019, he said. “The United States remains our biggest market for tourism to Israel. Prior to the COVID-19 epidemic, we were celebrating record-breaking tourism numbers each month. We are delighted to see this shift and expect an upward trend that will continue for months, and possibly years.
Not far behind in the United States, Canada is in the process of surpassing its tourist arrivals in Israel, reaching 7,200 visitors in the month of July 2022 and 6000 in August.
