NEW YORK – Sep. 8 2022 /PRNewswire/ The Israel Ministry of Tourism today released new records for the number of tourists coming to Israel from the United States in July and August. Israel received 78,000 visitors from the United States during July 2022 which is an increase of 4% over the year before and 71,000 travelers from the United States during August 2022. This is a 13% increase over the year before.
Eyal Carlin was the North American Tourism Commissioner for North America. “It is exciting to once again witness an rise in tourism to Israel from the United States. In 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million international tourists including 969,600 from the United States, and since its official reopening for any traveler regardless of vaccination status in May of this year The country has seen more than 600,400 US visitors.
