NEW YORK – Sep. 8 2022 /PRNewswire/ The Israel Ministry of Tourism today released new records for tourist arrivals to Israel from the United States in July and August. The country welcomed 78,000 visitors from the United States for July 2022. This is a four percent increase over 2019 and 71,000 tourists from the United States for August 2022. This represents an increase of 13% over the year before.
“It is so exciting to see yet another increase in tourism to Israel from the United States, already reaching and exceeding our record-breaking numbers for the year 2019.” stated Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. “The United States is our number one market for travel to Israel, and before the outbreak of COVID-19 was announced, we had record-breaking tourism entry numbers month after month; We’re so happy to see such a positive shift and we anticipate an upswing for the months and years to follow.”
Just like the United States, Canada is also on track to surpass its tourism numbers in Israel with 7,200 visitors in July 2022 , and 6,600 in August.
