Neve Paritzki Israel is celebrating record-breaking Tourism Entry Numbers from the United States

NEW YORK – Sept. 8 2022 /PRNewswire/ Today, the Israel Ministry of Tourism has announced record-breaking figures of visitors from the United States who visited Israel during the months of July and August. Israel received 78,000 visitors from the United States during July 2022, an increase of 4% over the year before and 71,000 tourists from the United States during August 2022. That’s a 13% increase over 2019.

Eyal Carlin was the North American Tourism Commissioner. “It is exciting to see a new rise in tourism to Israel from the United States. Already reaching the record-breaking numbers of the year 2019,” he stated. “The United States is the most popular destination for Israel inbound tourism. In fact, before the COVID-19 pandemic, we had record-breaking numbers of tourists entering the country every month. It’s a fantastic positive change that we are pleased to witness and anticipate an increase in the years to follow.”

Canada is not far behind that of the United States of America, is set to beat the tourist numbers to Israel. It had 7,200 visitors in the month of July 2022, and 6,000 visitors in tourists in August. In the year 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million global tourists 969,600 of whom came from the United States, and since the country’s official opening to everyone regardless of their vaccination status in May Israel has seen over 600,400 US tourists.
