NEW YORK – Sept. 8th, 2022/PRNewswirein July and August of 2018, the Israel Ministry of Tourism announced record numbers of visitors from America. The country welcomed 78,000 total travelers from the United States in July 2022 which is an increase of 4% from 2019, and 71,000 total travelers from the United States in August 2022 that’s an increase of 13% from the year before.
“It is thrilling to see yet another increase in tourist numbers to Israel from the United States, already reaching and surpassing our record-breaking numbers in 2019” stated Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. “The United States remains our biggest market for tourism to Israel. Before the COVID-19 epidemic that was in the news, we had record-breaking monthly numbers of tourists entering the country. We are thrilled to see this shift and expect a steady upward trend for months or even years.
Canada is on track to surpass Israel’s arrivals in tourist numbers 7200 tourists are expected to visit Israel in July 2022, and 6,600 tourists in August.

In the year 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million global tourists including 969,600 from the United States, and since its official reopening to any traveler regardless of vaccination status in May of this year The country has received more than 600,400 US visitors.
