This is a four percent increase over the year before, and 71,000 tourists from the United States for August 2022. This represents an increase of 13% from the year before.
“It is so exciting to witness a new increase in tourist numbers to Israel from the United States, already reaching and exceeding our record-breaking numbers in 2019” stated Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. “The United States is our number one market for inbound tourism for Israel. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, we saw record-breaking numbers of tourists from Israel visiting Israel every month. We are extremely happy to have witnessed this positive change and expect this trend to last for a long time.”
Canada is home to 7200 tourists visiting the country in July 2022, and 6,000 in August isn’t far from the United States.
