Neve Paritzki Israel is celebrating record-breaking Tourism Entry Counts from the United States

NEW YORK – Sept. 8 2022, /PRNewswire/ Today the Israel Ministry of Tourism announced record-breaking numbers of visitors from the United States who visited Israel in the months of July and August. Israel received 78,000 visitors from the United States for July 2022. This is a four percent increase over 2019 and 71,000 tourists from the United States for August 2022. This represents an increase of 13% over 2019.

“It is so exciting to once again see an rise in the number of tourists visiting Israel from the United States, already reaching and surpassing our record-breaking numbers for the year 2019,” stated Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. “The United States is the top market for Israel inbound tourism. Actually, prior to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we had record-breaking numbers of tourists entering the country month after month. This is a positive trend that we’re very happy about and anticipate an increase in the years to follow.” Canada is not far from that of the United States of America, is set to beat the number of tourists visiting Israel. It had 7,200 tourists in July 2022 as well as 6,000 tourists in August.

In the year 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million global tourists, 969,600 of them coming from the United States, and since its official reopening to everyone regardless of their vaccination status in May, the country has already received over 600,400 US visitors.
