NEW YORK – Sept. 8 2022, /PRNewswire/- Today the Israel Ministry of Tourism announced record-breaking numbers of tourists from the United States who visited Israel in July and August. Israel welcomed 78,000 American tourists in July 2022. This was a 4 percent increase over the year before seven thousand tourists from America visited Israel in August 2022.
“It is so exciting to witness a new increase in tourism to Israel from the United States, already reaching and surpassing our record-breaking numbers in 2019,” said Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. “The United States remains our largest market for Israel-bound tourism. Prior to the outbreak of COVID-19 that was in the news, we had record-breaking tourist entry numbers every month. We are delighted to see this shift and expect an ongoing upward trend for months and even years.
