NEW YORK, Sept. 8th, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today record-breaking tourism arrivals from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. Israel received 78,000 visitors from the United States during July 2022 which is an increase by 4% over 2019 and 71,000 tourists from the United States during August 2022. This is a 13% increase over 2019.
Eyal Carlin is the North American Tourism Commissioner. He said, “It’s so exciting to again see an increase of tourism to Israel from America, which is already exceeding or even surpassing our record-breaking numbers for 2019”. “The United States is our number one destination for our inbound tourism to Israel. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, we had record numbers of Israeli tourists entering Israel each month. We are extremely happy to have witnessed an improvement in the trend and anticipate it to continue for a long time.”
