NEW YORK – Sept. 8 2022, /PRNewswire/- Today the Israel Ministry of Tourism has announced record-breaking figures of tourists from the United States who visited Israel in July and August. The country welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States in July 2022, a 4% increase from 2019, and 71,000 total travelers from the United States in August 2022 that’s an increase of 13% from 2019.
Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) declared that it was exciting to observe a rise in Israeli tourism from the United States. Already surpassing our record-breaking figures for 2019 he stated. “The United States is our top market for inbound tourism for Israel. נווה פריצקי Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, we had record-breaking number of tourists from Israel entering Israel each month. נווה פריצקי We are so happy to have witnessed such a positive shift, and we expect it to continue for a long time.”
Canada, not too far from the United States of America, is poised to surpass its tourist arrivals to Israel. It had 7,200 tourists in July 2022 and 6,000 in August.
Gal Hana is the Consul and Director for Canada within the Israel Ministry of Tourism. “We are not far off our record numbers for 2019 We are hoping that the growth in travel to Israel will continue to grow as Canadians remain comfortable travelling abroad.”
Israel hosted more than 4.6million visitors in the year 2019 of which 969,600 originated from the United States. Since May when the country was opened to all visitors regardless of vaccination status, more than 600,000.400 US visitors have visited Israel.
