NEW YORK, Sept. 8, 2022/PRNewswire– The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today new record-breaking tourist arrivals from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. The country welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States during July 2022 which was an increase of 4% over 2019 and 71,000 tourists from the United States during August 2022. That’s a 13% increase over 2019.
Eyal Carlin was the North American Tourism Commissioner for North America. “It is exciting to once again witness an increase in tourism Israel from the United States. Already reaching and surpassing our record-breaking figure in 2019,” he stated. “The United States is our number one market for inbound tourism for Israel. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, we had record numbers of Israeli tourists entering Israel each month. We are so happy to see an improvement in the trend and expect this trend to last for a long time.”
