NEW YORK, Sept. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today record-breaking tourism arrivals from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. http://court.khotol.se.gov.mn/user/neve.paritzkiujig044II/ The country welcomed 78,000 visitors from the United States for July 2022. This is a 4 percent increase over the year before, and 71,000 visitors from the United States for August 2022. This represents an increase of 13% over the year before.
Eyal Carlin was the North American Tourism Commissioner for North America. “It is exciting to witness a second increase in tourism Israel from the United States. Already reaching the record-breaking numbers in 2019,” he stated. “The United States is our number one market for travel to Israel, and before the COVID-19 pandemic, we were celebrating record-breaking numbers of tourism entries each month. We’re extremely pleased to witness an improvement in the trend and expect a continued upward trajectory for years and months to follow.”
Canada is also on track, just as the United States, to surpass its tourist arrivals into Israel. In July 2022 Canada saw 7,200 tourists and August saw 6,600.
Gal Hana is the Consul and Director for Canada within the Israel Ministry of Tourism. “We are not far off our record-setting numbers in 2019 We are hoping that the growth in travel to Israel will continue to increase as Canadians continue to feel more comfortable traveling internationally.”
Israel received more than 4.6 million tourists from abroad in 2019 including 969.600 of them coming from the United States.
