It was a four percent increase over the year before seven thousand tourists from America visited Israel in August 2022.
“It is so exciting to once again see an increase in tourist numbers to Israel from the United States, already reaching and exceeding our record-breaking numbers in 2019” stated Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. “The United States has been our most important destination for tourism to Israel that is inbound. Prior to the outbreak of COVID-19 we were celebrating record figures of the number of tourists entering Israel each month.
Canada is home to 7,200 visitors in July 2022, and 6,000 in August, is not much behind the United States.

Israel welcomed more that 4.6 million tourists from abroad in the year 2019 including 969.600 of them coming from the United States. In May 2018, Israel opened its doors to all visitors, regardless if they are vaccination-free. The country already has hosted more than 600,000 visitors.
