NEW YORK – Sept. 8th, 2022 /PRNewswirein July and August of 2018, the Israel Ministry of Tourism announced record numbers of tourists arriving from America. The country welcomed 78,000 visitors from the United States for July 2022. This is a four% rise over 2019, and 71,000 visitors from the United States for August 2022. This represents an increase of 13% from 2019.
Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) stated that it was thrilling to witness an increase in tourism to Israel coming from the United States. Already surpassing the record-breaking numbers of 2019 he stated. “The United States is our top market for Israel’s inbound tourism. Before the COVID-19 pandemic we had record numbers of Israeli tourists entering Israel every month. We are thrilled to witness this positive change, and we anticipate it to continue throughout the months and years to come.”
