NEW YORK – Sept. 8th, 2022/PRNewswire/ — In July and August of 2018, the Israel Ministry of Tourism reported record numbers of visitors from the United States. The country received 78,000 travelers from the United States during July 2022 which was an increase of 4% over 2019 and 71,000 travelers from the United States during August 2022. That’s a 13% growth over 2019.

Canada is set to surpass Israel’s tourist arrivals, with 7,200 tourists visiting Israel in the month of July 2022 and 6,600 in August.

In 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million international tourists including 969,600 from the United States, and since its official reopening to all travelers regardless of vaccination status in May Israel has witnessed more than 600,400 US visitors.
