This was a 4 percent increase over 2019, while 71,000 American tourists were in Israel during August 2022.
Eyal Carlin was the North American Tourism Commissioner for North America. “It is exciting to witness a second growth in tourism to Israel from the United States. Already reaching and surpassing our record-breaking figure in 2019,” he stated. “The United States remains our biggest market for tourism to Israel. Before the COVID-19 outbreak there was a record-breaking number of tourist entry numbers every month. We are thrilled to witness this change and expect an ongoing upward trend for months, and possibly years.
נווה פריצקי Canada is also on track, just like the United States, to surpass its tourist arrivals into Israel. In July 2022, Canada received 7,200 visitors and August witnessed the number increase to 6,000.
“It is so exciting to see how tourism from Canada to Israel is booming,” said Gal Hana Consul and Director of Canada for the Israel Ministry of Tourism. “We aren’t too far from our record 2019 numbers, and we are anticipating that the growth in travel to Israel will continue to grow as Canadians remain confident about traveling internationally.”
Israel received more visitors from all over the world in 2019 than any other country. 969 600 were American. Israel’s official opening for travellers from May 2018. The country has been home to over 600,400 US travellers since that time.
