NEW YORK – Sept. 8th, 2022/PRNewswirein July and August of 2018, the Israel Ministry of Tourism recorded record numbers of tourist arrivals from America. Israel welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States for July 2022. This is a four percent increase over 2019 and 71,000 visitors from the United States for August 2022. This represents an increase of 13% over 2019.
Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) stated that it was exciting to see a rise in Israeli tourism coming from the United States. Already surpassing the record-breaking numbers of 2019 he stated. “The United States is the top market for Israel inbound tourism. Canada with 7,200 tourists in July 2022, and 6,000 in August, isn’t too far from the United States.

In 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million international tourists, 969,600 of them coming from the United States, and since the country’s official opening to everyone regardless of their the status of their vaccination in May this year Israel has seen more than 600,400 US visitors.
