NEW YORK – Sept. 8 2022, /PRNewswire/ Today the Israel Ministry of Tourism revealed record-breaking numbers of travelers from the United States who visited Israel in July and August. The country welcomed 78,000 total travelers from the United States in July 2022, a 4% increase from 2019 and 71,000 total visitors from the United States in August 2022 which is an increase of 13% from the year before.
Eyal Carlin is the North American Tourism Commissioner of the United States. He stated, “It’s so exciting to witness a further increasing number of tourists visiting Israel from America, which is already reaching or surpassing our record-breaking numbers for 2019”. “The United States remains our biggest market for tourism to Israel. Before the COVID-19 outbreak there was a record-breaking number of monthly numbers of tourists entering the country. We are delighted to see this shift and anticipate an upward trend that will continue for months, and possibly years.
Canada, which has 7200 tourists visiting the country in July 2022, and 6,000 tourists in August, is not much from the United States.
