NEW YORK – September 8 2022Record-breaking tourism arrivals from the United States were announced today by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. http://y8space.com/members-2/neve-paritzkiojej734ii/activity/4345136/ The country received 78,000 tourists from the United States in July 2022, a 4% increase from the year before, and 71,000 total travelers from the United States in August 2022 that’s an increase of 13% from the year before.
Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) said it was exciting to see a rise in Israeli tourism coming from the United States. Already surpassing the record-breaking numbers of 2019, he said. “The United States remains our biggest market for tourism to Israel. Prior to the COVID-19 outbreak that was in the news, we had record-breaking monthly numbers of tourists entering the country. We are thrilled to see this shift and expect an ongoing upward trend for months and even years.
Not far behind the United States, Canada is also on track to exceed its tourism numbers in Israel by 7,200 tourists in the month of July 2022 and 6,000 in August.
Gal Hana is the Consul and Director for Canada within the Israel Ministry of Tourism. “We are not far off our record-setting numbers in 2019, and we are anticipating that this increase in travel to Israel will continue to increase as Canadians continue to feel more at ease traveling internationally.”
