NEW YORK – Sept. 8th, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — In July and August 2018 the Israel Ministry of Tourism announced record numbers of tourist arrivals from the United States. 78,000 tourists from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. This is a 4 percentage increase over 2019, and 71,000 visitors from the United States in august 2022. This is 13% more than 2019.
Eyal Carlin is the North American Tourism Commissioner of the United States. He stated, “It’s so exciting to witness a further increase of tourism to Israel from America, already reaching or surpassing our record breaking numbers of 2019”. “The United States is our most important market for inbound tourism for Israel. Before the COVID-19 epidemic, we saw record-breaking numbers of tourists from Israel visiting Israel each month. We are thrilled to witness an improvement in the trend, and we expect this trend to last for many months and years.”
Canada is on track to surpass Israel’s tourist arrivals by attracting 7,200 tourists to Israel in July 2022 and 6,600 tourists in August.

Israel welcomed more that 4.6 million international visitors in the year 2019 including 969.600 of them coming from the United States. In May 2018, Israel opened its doors to all travelers, regardless whether they have been vaccinated. Israel has already hosted more than 600,000.
