This represents an increase of 13% from 2019.
Eyal Carlin is the North American Tourism Commissioner. He said, “It’s so exciting to again see an increase of tourism to Israel from America, already reaching or surpassing our record breaking numbers of 2019”. “The United States is our top destination for our inbound tourism to Israel. Before the COVID-19 epidemic, we had record number of tourists from Israel entering Israel each month. We are extremely happy to have witnessed an improvement in the trend, and we expect it to continue for many months and years.”

Israel received more than 4.6 million tourists in 2019. 969,600 of them were from the United States. The country’s official reopening for all tourists in May saw more than 600,000.
