NEW YORK – September 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -Record-breaking tourist arrivals to the United States were announced today by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. The country received 78,000 travelers from the United States in July 2022 which is an increase of 4% from the year before and 71,000 total visitors from the United States in August 2022 which is an increase of 13% from 2019.
Eyal Carlin was the North American Tourism Commissioner. “It is thrilling to see a new growth in tourism to Israel from the United States. Already reaching and exceeding our record-breaking number of the year 2019,” he stated. “The United States has been the most important destination for tourism to Israel that is inbound. Before the COVID-19 outbreak, we had been celebrating record-breaking numbers of Israel’s tourism entry each month.
Not far behind in the United States, Canada is also on track to exceed the number of tourists visiting Israel by 7,200 tourists in July 2022 , and 6,600 in August.
