This represents a 4 percent increase over the year before, and 71,000 visitors from the United States in august 2022. This is 13% higher than in the year 2019.

He stated, “It’s so exciting to again see an increase of tourism to Israel from the United States, and already exceeding or even surpassing our record-breaking numbers for 2019”. “The United States has been the most important source of tourism for Israel inbound. Prior to the COVID-19 outbreak, we had been celebrating record-breaking figures of the number of tourists entering Israel each month.
Canada is set to surpass Israel’s arrivals in tourist numbers by attracting 7,200 tourists to Israel in July 2022 and 6,600 tourists in August.
Gal Hana, Consul for Canada and Director of the Israel Ministry of Tourism declared that “it’s thrilling to observe how tourism in Canada is recovering.” “We are near our record-setting numbers in 2019. We believe that this growth will continue to grow as Canadians are more active in traveling abroad.
Israel received more than 4.6 million international visitors in 2019 and this included 969.600 coming from the United States. In May 2018, Israel opened its doors to all tourists, no matter if they are immunized. Israel has already hosted over 600,000.
