NEW YORK – Sept. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ – Today, the Israel Ministry of Tourism announced record-breaking numbers of tourists from the United States who visited Israel in the months of July and August. Israel received 78,000 visitors from the United States for July 2022. This is a 4% rise over 2019, and 71,000 tourists from the United States for August 2022. נווה פריצקי This is an increase of 13% over 2019.
Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) said it was thrilling to witness the growth in Israeli tourism coming from the United States. Already surpassing our record-breaking numbers for 2019, he said. “The United States is the top market for Israel inbound tourism. In fact, before the COVID-19 pandemic, we were celebrating record-breaking numbers of tourists entering the country every month. It’s a great positive trend that we’re happy to see and we anticipate an upward trajectory for months to come.”
Canada, which has 7,200 tourists in July 2022, and 6,000 in August, isn’t far from the United States.

In the year 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million global tourists including 969,600 from the United States, and since its official reopening for everyone regardless of their vaccination status in May of this year Israel has seen more than 600,400 US travelers.
