Fico Gutierrez continues to conquer voters, advanced campaign in Boyaca with an appearance at the Virgin of Chiquinquira

Presidential candidate Federico Gutierrez is clear that votes are obtained on the streets. There are less than 32 days to go before the first presidential round where he will face Gustavo Petro, his main opponent in the race for the House of Narino quota in the second presidential round.

Gutierrez was in Boyaca on Saturday, a sacred area that Petro visited on Friday. Formerly, the mayor of Medellin was currently a candidate for the center-right. He visited Tunja and spoke to academics, farmers, peasants and businessmen.

The main Fico’s meeting took place at the Tunja Convention Center. There was a large group of citizens who backed his candidacy on May 29, 2009.

With ruana and a plethora of Colombians backing Federico, the candidate for the Team for Colombia, Federico uploaded a video to Twitter in which he thanked the people of Tunja as well as saying: “we’re Going to win We all, we go for the presidency to change and unite Colombia,” said the candidate for the presidency, while capturing a group of people who support him without stopping.

“Happy at Boyaca!” With closeness, being the president of the people, we will achieve an orderly country with opportunities; a country where dreams are realized,” he wrote.

The second participant on the ballot was one who walked into the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary of Chiquinquira. is an important spot where hundreds of faithful followers gather every weekend. In the midst of the eyes of his followers as well as those waiting to receive the morning Eucharist, the leader from the center-right kneeled down and offered himself to the Virgin Mary.

“I I asked Virgin to help me gain wisdom. He explained that he requested his assistance to my family as well as for all the families in Colombia.

In that place, the presidential candidate recorded his visit on video. He met with residents of the region prior to his entry and was welcomed by them.

Gutierrez arrived to the church with the Boyacan ruana (traditional Boyacan ruana) and the medal of the Virgin of Chiquinquira (a symbol of faith that he displayed throughout his political campaign). Three weeks ago, Antioquian visited Jericho Antioquia and was seated in the place of birth of Mother Laura, who has been canonized by Pope Francis.

In Chiquinquira the presidential candidate took the occasion to welcome the people and made some announcements about his plans to build the presidential palace. “Key issues in Chiquira include: guaranteeing water for all citizens, the construction and maintenance of roads (especially Ruta des Comuneros & the Ubate-Chiquinquira Section), and tourism to create jobs and sustainable development.” Other issues were discussed by the president of the paisa.

Fico Gutierrez talked about his work. He said that Tunja had the second highest rate of unemployment in the country. So, for government seeks “about 2 000 new jobs and the creation of at least 300 companies for Boyaca”.

But, he also stated that sustainable mobility should be a part of the department. He also stated that the reorganization of the Strategic Public Transport System was the top priority. He also said that the government will continue to work on the development of roads as well as cycling routes.

In his most recent tweet Gutierrez also addressed producers of the potato as well as the field, saying “Peasants of Boyaca: we are determined to create greater opportunities for you and rehabilitate the field.” Gutierrez will contact Colombians to let them know about the government’s plan and attempt to change the course in the forthcoming elections scheduled for May 29.
