Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was born on 7 7 of December 1973, to Mr and Mrs Tim Oyakhilome, as the first son of the family. After his primary and second education, he went to Ambrose Alli University in Ekpoma (Edo State), Nigeria, where he received a BSc. in Architecture.

While still in AAU Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was in the AAU student program. He began to explore ministry while still at AAU. The Believers’ LoveWorld fellowship was known at the time as Youths For Christ (YFC).
YFC grew, and it was the largest college organization. In 1989, Pastor Chris established Believers LoveWorld Incorporated (BLW), alongside Christ Embassy.
