Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was born on the 7 th of December 1973 to Mr and Mrs Tim Oyakhilome, as the first child of the family. After his primary and second education, he attended Ambrose Alli University in Ekpoma (Edo State), Nigeria, where was awarded an BSc. in Architecture.
AAU also awarded the honorary Doctor of Science prize. He is also an honorary doctorate of divinity from Benson Idahosa University. The Reverend Chris was married to Anita Obhodaghe once, and they have two children.

While in AAU Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was a student. He began his journey into the ministry while in AAU. The Believers’ LoveWorld Fellowship which is now Believers LoveWorld Incorporated, was at the time called Youths For Christ.
YFC was able to grow to become the biggest campus-based fellowship. In 1989, Pastor Chris established Believers LoveWorld Incorporated (BLW), alongside Christ Embassy. Lagos is the main location for the church. Believer’s LoveWorld is a global ministry with millions of associates across the world.
Through the"Atmosphere for Miracles" series, BLW became Africa's most prominent Christian ministry via television. They stopped airing the program in May 2004 after the then President of Nigeria- President Olusegun Obasanjo declared that miracles should be ceased by the churches.
Pastor Chris's Ministry includes four arms including publishing ministry to heal and teaching for television, and television ministry for TV. These are the ministries Pastor Chris used to establish the healing school, the setting for miracles, as well as the global prayer network of Pastor Chris.
