Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was born on the 7 of the 7 of December 1973 to Mr and Mrs Tim Oyakhilome, as the first son of the family. He was educated in primary and secondary education from Ambrose Alli University. After his graduation, he received a BSc Architecture.

While still in school at AAU Pastor Chris Oyakhilome got involved in ministry. At the time the Believers’ LoveWorld Fellowship, now Believers LoveWorld Incorporated was known as Youths For Christ (YFC).
YFC grew and became the largest fellowship on campus. In 1989, Pastor Chris established Believers LoveWorld Incorporated (BLW), alongside Christ Embassy. The church’s headquarters are in Lagos. Believer’s LoveWorld is a worldwide organization with millions upon millions associates around the world, is now called Believers LoveWorld.
Through its 2002 environment for miracles program, BLW was the most prominent Christian ministry on TV in Africa. The Future Africa Leaders Foundation was created to explore and expand the leadership potentials Africans. The foundation recognizes, celebrates and supports young Africans who have demonstrated leadership through positively impacting the lives of their generation. They do this through education and mentoring youth and youth empowerment.
The foundation recognizes the young leaders through an award ceremony called The Future Africa Leaders’ Award. It is held on the first day of each new year at the LoveWorld Convocation Arena, (LCA), Billings Way Oregun, Ikeja. The President of BLW – Reverend Chris Oyakhilome presents an award to the winners.
The InnerCity Mission For Children
The InnerCity Mission to children is a faith based nongovernmental Organisation. The NGO was started in 2005 with the intention to assist vulnerable, low-income orphaned children around the world.
The children who are in need of assistance are supported by the foundation with participatory interventions that include family strengthening programs as also child development programmes.
Trauma Care International Foundation
The Trauma Care International Foundation was established in order to enhance the health and life expectancy of local communities and nations by encouraging enhanced emergency response capabilities in the case of accidents or emergencies. The foundation aims to accomplish this feat through health education, advocacy and community-based initiatives while aiming to provide assistance to national policies on trauma care.
More than 1000 classes on first aid, safety, and emergency management were conducted by the foundation. They have trained thousands of teachers, law enforcement officers and caregivers as well road transporters.
Volunteer Medical Corps (VMC)
The Volunteer Medical Corps is an international christian medical outreach. It provides relief materials as well as medical assistance and education for refugees and internally displaced individuals within affected regions.
