Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was born on 7 th of December 1973 to Mr and Mrs Tim Oyakhilome, as the first child of the family. After his first and second education, he enrolled in Ambrose Alli University in Ekpoma (Edo State), Nigeria, where was awarded a BSc. in Architecture.

AAU also gave him an honourary Doctor of Science Award. He also holds an honorary doctorate from Benson Idahosa University in divinity. The Reverend Chris was married to Anita Obhodaghe once, and they have two children.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome began his ministry career while at AAU. At the time, the Believers’ LoveWorld Fellowship, which is now Believers LoveWorld Incorporated was known as Youths For Christ (YFC).

YFC grew rapidly and was the largest campus fellowship. In 1989, Pastor Chris established Believers LoveWorld Incorporated (BLW), alongside Christ Embassy. Lagos is the home of the church’s headquarters. Believer’s LoveWorld is now a global ministry with millions of followers and associates around the world.

BLW became the most prominent Christian ministry on TV across Africa, through its”Atmosphere for Miracles” programme in 2002. The programme was canceled in May 2004 by the President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo who announced that the churches would stop broadcasting miracles on TV.
