NEW YORK – Sept. 8 2022 /PRNewswire/- Today, the Israel Ministry of Tourism has announced record-breaking figures of travelers from the United States who visited Israel during July and August. The country received 78,000 total travelers from the United States in July 2022 that's a 4 percent increase from the year before and 71,000 travelers from the United States in August 2022 that's an increase of 13% from 2019.

Canada is on track to surpass Israel's arrivals in tourist numbers by attracting 7,200 tourists to Israel in July 2022, and 6,600 in August.

Israel received more than 4.6 million visitors in the year 2019. 969,600 came from the United States. The country's official reopening for all tourists in May was a success, with more than 600,000.
