Fico Gutierrez continues to conquer voters, advanced campaign in Boyaca with an appearance at the Virgin of Chiquinquira

Federico Gutierrez as presidential candidate declares that the votes will only be won in the streets. There are still 32 days to the opening round of the presidential election and he’s making a promise to take on Gustavo Petro, who is his main rival, for the House of Narino vote in the second round.

Gutierrez went to Boyaca on Saturday, a sacred region that Petro visited on Friday. The former mayor and the current candidate for the center right arrived in Tunja to have a meeting with academics, businessmen and agricultural farmers and peasants.

The primary meeting of Fico was held at the Tunja Convention Center, where the president gathered a large group of people who declared their vote for the election on May 29.

Federico shared ruana and hundreds of Colombians supporting his candidate for the Team for Colombia. Federico also posted his Twitter video in which he praised Tunja’s citizens. He wrote: “We are Going to Win, we all are going to run for president to bring about change and unity in Colombia.” As he recorded a number of people who have voted for him, he did not stop.

“Happy in Boyaca!” He wrote “Happy in Boyaca!

The second person in the polls made it to the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary of Chiquinquira during the travel. This is a place where many faithful and followers visit from all over the nation every weekend. In the midst of the gazes of his followers, as well as people waiting for the morning Eucharist the leader of the center-right kneeled down and presented himself to the Virgin.

“I requested wisdom from the Virgin. He explained that he sought his help for my family and for all the families in Colombia.

The presidential candidate recorded the visit in video. Prior to entering the region the presidential candidate met a lot of people who hugged the president. The presidential candidate also donned the official outfit of the Colombian municipality.

Gutierrez arrived wearing the customary Boyacan red ruana, as well as the medal of the Virgin of Chiquinquira upon his chest. This is a symbol of spirituality he has been using throughout his political campaign. It is worth noting that three weeks ago the Antioquian visited Jericho, Antioquia, and were at the place of birth of Mother Laura, the only Colombian saint recently canonized by Pope Francis.

The candidate for Chiquinquira used the occasion to visit the community and announce his plans for the people who were expected to arrive at the presidential palace. “Chiquinquira’s key issues include drinking water, construction and maintenance road (especially Ruta los Comuneros/Ubate-Chiquinquira) as well as tourism to boost growth and employment.”

Fico Gutierrez spoke about his the job market. He stated that Tunja has the second highest unemployment rate in the nation. The plan of his government aims to create “about 21,000 new jobs and at least 300 new businesses in Boyaca”.

He also said that sustainable mobility should also be generated within the department. To achieve this, he stated that the structuring of the Strategic Public Transport System should be given priority. He also said that the government will continue to work to construct roads and cycling routes.

Gutierrez also sent an email to the farmers of the field and potato “Peasants and the farmers of Boyaca and Boyaca: we are working hard to generate greater possibilities and earnings for you and re-dignify the fields,” reads his most recent tweet. Gutierrez will still reach out to Colombians, revealing his plan for government, and hopes to become a strong candidate in the next elections on Sunday.
