NEW YORK, Sept. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today record-breaking tourism arrivals from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. 78,000 tourists from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. This represents a 4% increase over 2019 and 71,000 tourists from the United States in august 2022. This is 13% more than the number of visitors in 2019.

Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, we had record-breaking numbers of tourism entry every month. It’s a great positive trend that we’re happy to see and we expect an upward trend for years to follow.”
In line with in the United States, Canada is in the process of surpassing its tourist arrivals in Israel with 7,200 visitors in July 2022 and 6,000 in August.

Israel has welcomed more than 4.6 million tourists from abroad in 2019, with 969.600 coming from the United States. In May 2018, Israel opened its doors to all visitors, regardless if they are vaccinated. The country has already hosted over 600,000.
