NEW YORK – September 8 2022Record-breaking tourism arrivals from the United States were announced today by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. The country welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States during July 2022, an increase of 4% over the year before and 71,000 travelers from the United States during August 2022. This is a 13% growth over 2019.
Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) said it was exciting to see an increase in tourism to Israel from the United States. Already surpassing our record-breaking figures for 2019, he said. “The United States is our top destination for our inbound tourism to Israel. Before the COVID-19 pandemic we saw record-breaking number of tourists from Israel entering Israel every month. We are extremely happy to have witnessed this positive change and expect this trend to last for many months and years.”
