NEW YORK – Sept. 8th, 2022/PRNewswire• In July and August of 2018, the Israel Ministry of Tourism reported record numbers of visitors from America. Israel welcomed 78,000 American tourists during July 2022. It was a 4 percent increase over the year before and 71,000 tourists from the United States were in Israel during August 2022.
Eyal Carlin is the North American Tourism Commissioner of the United States. He stated, “It’s so exciting to again see an rise in tourism to Israel from the United States, and already reaching or surpassing our record-breaking numbers for 2019”. “The United States remains our biggest market for tourism to Israel. Prior to the outbreak of COVID-19 that was in the news, we had record-breaking tourist entry numbers every month. We are delighted to see this positive shift and expect an ongoing upward trend for months, and possibly years.
Canada is in the process, as the United States, to surpass the amount of tourists that visit Israel. In July 2022 Canada received 7,200 visitors and August saw 6,600.
