NEW YORK, Sept. 8th, 2022 /PRNewswire– The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today record-breaking tourism arrivals from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. Israel received 78,000 visitors from the United States during July 2022 which is an increase of 4% over the year before and 71,000 tourists from the United States during August 2022. That’s 13% increase over 2019.

Eyal Carlin was the North American Tourism Commissioner. “It is thrilling to once again witness an growth in tourism to Israel from the United States. Already reaching and exceeding our record-breaking number of the year 2019,” he stated. “The United States remains our biggest market for tourism to Israel. Canada, which has 7200 tourists visiting the country in July 2022, and 6,000 in August isn’t much behind the United States.

Gal Hana is the Consul and Director for Canada within the Israel Ministry of Tourism. We’re close to reaching our record numbers for 2019 and we expect that this increase in travel to Israel will continue to increase as Canadians are more comfortable at ease abroad.

Israel received more than 4.6 million visitors in the year 2019. 969,600 were from the United States. The country’s official reopening for all tourists in May has seen more than 600,000.
