NEW YORK – Sept. 8th, 2022/PRNewswirein July and August of 2018 the Israel Ministry of Tourism reported record numbers of tourists arriving from America. 78,000 visitors from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. This is a four percentage increase over 2019 and 71,000 visitors from the United States in august 2022. This is 13% more than 2019.
Eyal Carlin is the North American Tourism Commissioner. He stated, “It’s so exciting to again see an increasing number of tourists visiting Israel from America, already in the process of surpassing or exceeding the record-breaking numbers we saw in 2019”. “The United States remains our biggest market for tourism to Israel. Before the COVID-19 outbreak that was in the news, we had record-breaking tourism numbers each month. We are thrilled to see this shift and expect a steady upward trend for months or even years.
Canada, not too far from that of the United States of America, is on track for surpassing the number of tourists visiting Israel. It reached 7,200 visitors in the month of July 2022 as well as 6,000 visitors in August.
