NEW YORK – September 8 2022new record-breaking tourist arrivals to the United States were announced today by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. Israel received 78,000 visitors from the United States during July 2022 which was an increase of 4% over 2019 and 71,000 tourists from the United States during August 2022. That’s a 13% increase over the year before.
Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) said it was exciting to observe an increase in tourism to Israel coming from the United States. Already surpassing our record-breaking figures for 2019, he added. “The United States is our number one destination for our inbound tourism to Israel. Before the COVID-19 epidemic, we saw record-breaking number of tourists from Israel entering Israel every month. We are extremely happy to witness such a positive shift, and we expect it to continue for many months and years.”

In 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million international tourists, 969,600 of them coming from the United States, and since its official reopening for everyone regardless of their vaccination status in May this year, the country has already witnessed over 600,400 US tourists.
