NEW YORK – September 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -new record-breaking tourism arrivals from the United States were announced today by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. The country welcomed 78,000 Americans during July 2022. This was a 4 percent increase from 2019 and 71,000 tourists from the United States were in Israel during August 2022.
Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) declared that it was thrilling to witness a rise in Israeli tourism coming from the United States. Already surpassing the record-breaking numbers of 2019, he said. “The United States remains our biggest market for tourism to Israel. In July 2022 Canada saw 7,200 tourists and August saw the number increase to 6,000.

In the year 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million international tourists, 969,600 of them coming from the United States, and since the country’s official opening to any traveler regardless of the status of their vaccination in May Israel has seen more than 600,400 US travelers.
